Founder of Cerebrate Therapy, Therapist
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and therapist.
I was born and raised in Southern California, in the San Gabriel Valley, to a traditionally Chinese household. I believe that my interactions with others have shaped who I am today. Life lessons were taught from little moments such as sharing comfort food, creating laughter with friends, and family gatherings.
Along the way I came to realize how emotions played a significant role in how we interact with one another. Through those around me, I learned the value of helping others and even more so, in the emotional sense. Being able to connect with someone on a mental health level can help fill a void that is often left forgotten.
I graduated with my Master’s in Social Work from The University of Southern California and have over 7 years of licensure experience. I have worked with all age groups within various school, medical, and therapy settings. I have served those experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, substance use, and more.
I believe that every individual has their own story, which has inspired me to found Cerebrate. I use an individual’s story to effect change and provide care. I meet the individual where they are at, in a non-judging, and open and honest interaction. Stories are ever-changing–just as my story has shaped who I am today, I strive to facilitate positive change in another person’s story through therapeutic interaction.
